An older woman with a sandy blond hair and wire frame glasses in a flower print shirt smiles and waves at the camera. Colorful ribbons are streamed between her and two others who stand on either side of her.

Led by guest artist Jorge Merced, these sessions will provide participants with the baseline knowledge needed to understand the unique needs and issues facing older adult populations and will focus on the basics of program design and implementation, as specifically related to quality arts programming for older adults. Participants will connect with other providers and artists interested in enriching the lives of older adults in their community and will leave with concrete tools and ideas for creative aging in their own programs and work.

Anyone interested in the relationship between the arts and quality of life for older adults, including aging or healthcare service organization staff, caregivers, volunteers, teaching artists, and arts organizations are invited to join.
